Generation non - universality and flavor changing neutral currents in the 331 model

چکیده

The 331 model, an extension of the standard electroweak theory to SU(3)L× U(1)X , naturally predicts three families of quarks and leptons via the requirement of anomaly cancellation. This is accomplished by making one of the quark families transform differently from the other two, thus leading to flavor changing neutral currents. Using experimental input on neutral meson mixing, we show that the third family must be the one that is singled out, at least up to small family mixing. We additionally describe a convenient way to parametrize the new mixing matrix that plays a role in the gauge interactions of the ordinary quarks with the new 331 quarks. The More Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model

Effective Supersymmetry is presented as a theory of physics above the electroweak scale which has significant theoretical advantages over both the standard model and the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard model (MSSM). The theory is supersymmetric at short distances but differs significantly from the MSSM: there is no supersymmetric CP problem and flavor changing neutral currents and lepton flavor...

We present a general phenomenological analysis of a class of Two Higgs Doublet Models with Flavor Changing Neutral Currents arising at the tree level. The existing constraints mainly affect the couplings of the first two generations of quarks, leaving the possibility for non negligible Flavor Changing couplings of the top quark open. The next generation of lepton and hadron colliders will offer...

Constraints on non - universal soft terms from flavor changing neutral currents

The smallness of flavor changing neutral currents constrains the soft parameter space of supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model. These low energy constraints are translated to the soft parameter space generated at some high energy scale MGUT. For gaugino masses larger than the scalar masses and non-universal A-terms the constraints are significantly diluted at MGUT and do allow for the...

Cp-violating Asymmetry in B Decays to 3 Pseudoscalar Mesons

The measurement of CP asymmetries in charged B meson decays might provide the first demonstration of CP violation outside the K system. Among the usual three CP-odd phases α, β and γ, the phase γ seems to be the most difficult to explore experimentally. In this talk I would like to report on a recent analysis of the CP asymmetry in the partial widths for the non-leptonic decays B → MM̄π (M = π+,...

Z-mediated flavor-changing neutral currents and their implications for CP asymmetries in B0 decays.

In models where the quark sector is extended in a non-sequential way, there are Z-mediated flavor changing neutral currents at tree level. These may dominate mixing in neutral B systems. Unitarity of the three generation CKM matrix is violated, and new phases take part in quark mixing. All these effects modify significantly the predictions for CP asymmetries in B” decays . The various aspects o...
